An innovation story is good. A creation myth is even better. So we dreamed up the Wonder Vault to provide a wonderfilled narrative for all of Oreo’s flavor creations. It’s a magical place where every cookie flavor exists in delicious harmony. (Even the one that turned your, um, ‘business’ pink.)

 
 

We started with an animated journey inside the vault, created by the very talented folks at Scholar.

Then we followed with the story of a nostalgic new flavor from the Wonder Vault, Choco Chip Oreo.

And then we thought, ‘Why not open up an IRL portal to the Wonder Vault?’ So we did just that in L.A. with a big assist from the team over at Momentum.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE…

Now that we had this awesome, wonderfilled Wonder Vault, we decided to let our fans fill it with flavors for a change. So we asked the country one simple question, ‘What’s your Oreo Creation?” In return we got 750,000 responses. A few bazillion impressions. And 3 winning flavors.

 
 

As mentioned in the video above, we were able to sift through all the ideas and rapid ‘flavor-type’ some of the best. Then we created a Wonder Vault on wheels to roll up and deliver these custom cookies. (Yes, my partner Declan and I apparently had a thing for motorized brand vehicles)

We also replied in real-time to other fan submissions with digital versions of their cookie creations. Not edible, but still really cool. Done once again with the help of Scholar.
